About the Role
Roll up your sleeves and climb on board if you're ready to be our next Principal Software Engineer. This role will posit you as an integral player in the GoPay Engineering team based in Bangalore, India. With the knowledge of building scalable applications, current user preferences, and emerging technologies, you will be responsible for designing and managing applications, evolving and boosting productivity for the GoPay Engineering team, and delivering a cutting edge product aimed at improving customer experience on GoPay. You will get to be a part of one of the largest payment platforms with high throughput and visible end user impact.
What You Will DoAs part of the Consumer Platform/Payment Platform/Partner Platform team of GoPay, enhance and improve user safety, user engagement and transaction growthUnderstand the user and their behavior and will continuously contribute to make their experience better with each releaseBe responsible for the overall delivery and the solution architecture of the feature your team will be working onDesign and develop highly scalable, reliable and fault tolerant systems for one of the world's fastest growing unicornsCommunicate, collaborate and work effectively with product and business stakeholders across distributed teams in a global environment
What You Will NeedAt least 9 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying large scale applications in any language or stackGood understanding of Java, Clojure, Kafka and GolangKnowledge in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, gitlab, circleciKnowledge in SQL and NoSQL databases like, Postgres, Mongo, RedisAble to design and implement low latency GRPC or RESTful servicesExperience using AWS, Kubernetes and ConsulContinuously refactor applications and architectures to maintain high quality levelsPassion for learning new things, solving challenging problems, writing code and a drive to improve in these skills
