Working as part of the GoTo Data Protection and Privacy Office, this role will focus on monitoring compliance to the prevailing Personal Data Protection Laws and Regulations. This includes understanding the Personal Data Protection laws and regulations that are applicable to GoTo entities, identifying the expected control/processes that are required in order to comply with the regulatory requirements and performing active monitoring to ensure compliance. Successful candidates will be exposed to the highly dynamic and fast-paced working environment and are expected to exhibit sound knowledge and application of personal data protection requirements into various types of projects/initiatives from the business units. Good communication skill is essential since the role is exposed to various stakeholders with different backgrounds who may have different levels of understanding on the topic of data protection and privacy
What will you do
  • Assist in building the Data Protection Framework based on the prevailing Personal Data Protection Laws & Regulations for all GoTo Entities (this includes regulations from countries where GoTo entities operate)
  • Identifying the expected controls and processes that are required in order to be compliant to Personal Data Protection Laws & Regulations
  • Monitor the rate of compliance of the various GoTo entities by performing active reviews and/or monitoring, identify any gaps and monitor remediation actions
  • Facilitate (supporting related teams in BUs) external audits and reviews that are related to Personal Data Protection (e.g. ISO 27701 audit)
  • Facilitate the handling of personal data incidents (reporting, response), if any.
    • What you will need
  • Sound knowledge of personal data protection laws and regulations. At the very minimum, familiarity with Indonesia's UU Pelindungan Data Pribadi. 
  • Proficient in both English and Bahasa (written and spoken).
  • Experience in risk & control management (e.g. audit, enterprise risk management, operational risk management)
  • Experience in the area of data protection and privacy is highly desirable
  • Related certifications are also an advantage: CIPM, CIPP, CIPT
  • Good communication skills as the role requires interaction with various stakeholders
  • Highly motivated to learn and develop, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
